Serious tinfoil.. this is what happens to me on an idle Saturday. Sad, isn't it?
This is a real advertisement on Monster.Com
for a "resettlement specialist" for the National Guard. Kinda of a strange thing to call a corrections facility guard. REALLY strange. Ad from screen cap I took on 1 August 2009.
Now, consider this: it specifies that the duties are to be similar to a civilian corrections facility guard. Also consider that the description implies that US laws will be applied meaning on US territory or soil. Also consider that the opening is not specific as to the location which implies multiple locations (indeed, the title bar states as much). Also consider that the job is offered on Monster; that implies that there are multiple openings (to go with the multiple locations).
But wait! There's more to this tinfoil hattery! The DOD is considering use of military forces to aid in the potential outbreak of H1N1 this Fall.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials.
The proposal is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
The officials would not be identified because the proposal from U.S. Northern Command's Gen. Victor Renuart has not been approved by the secretary. [...]
So.. if there IS a connection between the two, then why didn't the National Guard advertise for nurses?
... oh, there it is
Still have to raise an eyebrow on this. Since when is a prison guard called a "resettlement specialist"? They certainly won't be administering healthcare. Gitmo is closing
. So, where and why are all these guards needed? Hmmmm?
