Politcally Incorrect Musings

Did you like the opening ceremonies? Impressed? I was... operative word "was".

Parts were "digitally enhanced" and lipsynched.

China... a facade, no matter how impressive, is still not the real thing.

Just because you saw it on the tele doesn't make it real.

Update: Bwaa Ha! ha! Ha!

Eh. It was a show. I half expected lots of it was a work. You didn't? Interesting. Guess I am still the pro-wrestler.

BTW. I never actually slapped Ivan. He just sold it well. *-)

I was still impressed that they could do that on such a grand scale.
I find that because I semi-majored in theater in college and love to watch all the behind the scense parts of DVDs, I already have lost my disbelief since I know too much on how things are actually done. The NBC announcers where talking about the giant firework footprints were all digital during the broadcast. And when was the last time the actual halftime show of the super bowl didn't have lip-synching?

Plus, the parts that Wow'd me the most was the human elements. All the people in the boxes, the Kung fu masters who kept perfect form and lines, the hundreds of drummers.
