SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / KCBS) ― The Transportation Security Administration says a laptop containing the sensitive personal information of 33,000 applicants to an airport security prescreening program has gone missing.
T.S.A. spokesperson Ann Davis told CBS an unencrypted computer storing the personal information on the cards went missing from SFO on July 26th, but the agency was not notified until Sunday. [...]
DETAILED personal data for 33,000
travelers that are PRE-CLEARED FOR AIRLINE TRAVEL has been stolen. Yeah... this is a setup for "The Perfect Storm". The Olympics are from August 8 to August 24. The anniversary for September 11 is only one month away. US Presidential elections are in November. Or perhaps the stolen data will be used to create IDs for all those illegal aliens or get bank loans and credit cards for nefarious purposes.
Only now they
have decided to encrypt data?!! WTF?
Where is the TSA on this? Why was such a requirement not made part of the original bid specification?
Yeah... TSA. "Thoroughly Screwing America"
