from Torrey Spears' blog
"If one good thing has come out of this finanial mess - it's that *should* Barack Obama get elected - his super-spending plans are finished. There's no money. That is, unless with an Obama Presidency and a Democrat controlled Congress - they expand our national debt into a number that hasn't even been created yet. You can also forget about Obama's 95% tax cut/rebate and economic stimulus package plans.
By comparison - McCain's tax cuts across the board is gone. McCain will have to reign in government spending, but leave taxes alone because the Feds need this money."
I tend to agree with Mr. Spears.
So if you thought that voting for Obama was going to get you more government services, you are wrong. Gone is your "universal health care", gone are your guaranteed student loans, gone gone gone. You want change? That change is the few remaining coins you have in your pocket, because that is all you'll be left with.
The bailout that none of us wanted and is being shoved down our throats will remove any "change" your candidate (pick one) wanted to make.
All you will get is more of the same: more taxes, more corruption (the bailout does NOTHING to punish the greedy), and more idiot career politicians with no clue, plan, or ethics.
Sad days, my friends. Sad indeed.
